COLL 3: Oxford County Historic Resource Survey

The Oxford County Historic Resource Survey collection consists of photographic slides of historic buildings in Oxford County taken by George Allen, director of the project during the first year, and photographs taken by Allen and Randall H. Benett.

The Oxford County Historic Resource Survey was later completed by Randall H. Bennett, and resulted in the book Oxford County, Maine: A Guide to its Historic Architecture.

Also included are a small number of documents relating to the project, including correspondence with Bennett, and updates/corrections to the text. Most of the documents associated with the project, however, were transferred to the Maine Historic Preservation Commission in Augusta.
