COLL 183: Bethel Veterans' Monument Collection
Description
Correspondence, catalogs, and other items related to the purchase of a bronze plaque to honor Bethel's World War I, World War II, and Korean War veterans in 1957-8.
Also included are copies of correspondence from Newry from 1953-1954, when the town of Newry purchased a similar monument. This was presumably provided to the Bethel committee to help them choose a supplier and course of action. There is also a rubbing from a plaque in Gilead.
