Exercise in Ideal Hall / May 1, 1885."

Platform of West Parish Congregational Church visible in background at far left. The second and third buildings from the left are a house and connected barn which stood where the Headmaster's House was later built. The white building behind the trees in the center of the photograph was the Bethel Creamery. The building at the far right stood at the corner of Church Street and High Street (which then connected with Church Street).
