Northern Maine : a preliminary bibliography of early fishing, hunting, and trapping information

This bibliography contains sources of information documenting the experiences of people who canoed, fished, hunted, and trapped in northern Maine during the period from the mid-1800s through the 1940s. Types of sources included were mostly designed for anglers and hunters and include: books and booklets, guidebooks, railroad promotional materials (i.e., flyers, booklets & guidebooks), outdoor sporting periodicals, sportsmen maps, and photographs (including stereoviews). This bibliography should be viewed an a starting point for finding early information about fishing, hunting, and trapping in northern Maine.
