The letters used in the index correspond to the following record groups:

• A: Births, 1794-1803 (pages 1-6) and deaths, 1796-1803 (pages 7-10)
• B: Births, 1803-1840s
• C: Intentions of marriage, 1805-1870
• D: Marriage certificates ca. 1870-ca. 1930

The page numbers given in the index refer to the handwritten numbers found on the bottom of each page of indexed material.
