Ride the Sandy River Railroad [videorecording]

For more than 50 years, Franklin County, Maine, enjoyed the best two foot gauge railroad in the country. The Sandy River Line ran from 1879 until 1935. Fortunately, a group of railroad enthusiasts was frequenting the line near its end, filming and documenting all they could before its untimely demise. This silent film with captions is a look back in time at the Sandy River Line as recorded by some of those young men.
